Mindfulness Is More Than Just Meditation.

When we hear the word mindfulness, most people think of taking a hot bubble bath, doing yoga, and meditating. All of these are wonderful things to do for yourself. However, the main function of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is to help you stop living in the past or stop worrying about the future.

Mindfulness Helps You Live in the Present Moment

When you worry about things that happened in your past, you can’t move forward. You’re subconsciously sabotaging your future opportunities.

The main way a person will sabotage future opportunities is by living in the past and using statements such as “could have”, “would have”, or “should have”. These statements create fear, and due to the unknown fear you build up in your mind, another self-fulfilled prophecy comes to fruition.

Mindfulness Will Help You Move Forward.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy works by keeping you grounded in the present and allows you to change how you see the world around you. It aids you to recognize sabotaging behaviors and thoughts, along with forwarding your understanding your skewed view of the world. It helps you counteract self-sabotage and help you live the life that you want in the present, and stop living in the past.

It’s one of the most effective interventions of our time, and I’d love to show you how you can use mindfulness to begin your healing journey.
